Common questions
Straight answers to what clients usually ask about this service.
When are VAT returns due?
For most businesses, the return and payment are due 1 month and 7 days after the end of the VAT period. We set our own working dates ahead of that so the return is never a last-minute job.
Do I have to use Making Tax Digital for VAT?
Nearly all VAT-registered businesses must keep digital records and submit returns through compatible software. We are a QuickBooks Making Tax Digital ProAdvisor and file through compatible software.
Can you correct errors on earlier VAT returns?
Yes. Depending on the size and nature of the error, it can be corrected on your next return or reported to HMRC separately. We work out which route applies and prepare the correction.
