Accounts, tax and compliance for UK and US businesses

Management accounts for owners who want current numbers

Regular profit and loss, balance sheet and cash reporting built from reconciled books, so decisions rest on this month's figures and not last year's.

What's included

Profit and loss by period

Income and costs by month, quarter or year, grouped the way you run the business.

Balance sheet

A position statement you can rely on because the books behind it are reconciled.

Cash and working capital

Money owed to you, money you owe and cash on hand, so you can see what is coming in and going out.

Comparisons

Actuals set against a prior period or a budget, with the variances that matter picked out.

Plain commentary

A short explanation of what changed, in place of a page of numbers.

Packs for lenders and investors

Reports formatted for a bank, an investor or your board when you need to share them.

Who this is for

Growing owner-managed businesses

Owners who need to see trading results while there is still time to act.

Businesses applying for finance

Reliable figures to give a lender or investor.

Multi-entity groups

Separate UK and US entities reported side by side.

Common questions

Straight answers to what clients usually ask about this service.

What is the difference between management accounts and statutory accounts?

Statutory accounts are the annual set filed with Companies House and used for tax. They follow set rules and look backwards. Management accounts are for you: more frequent, more detailed and shaped around how you run the business.

I already have bookkeeping. Do I need management accounts?

Bookkeeping records the transactions. Management accounts summarise them into figures you can decide from. If you are only reading a bank balance or a list of invoices, a monthly summary is usually the next step.

Can the reports come from QuickBooks?

Yes. QuickBooks Online is our default working file, and reports can be run from it or supplied as a separate summary.
